Overview

Periodontal and implant therapy is currently undergoing a profound transformation driven by rapid advancements in biomaterials science, regenerative engineering, and biologically driven treatment strategies. As clinical standards evolve, the development of novel, biocompatible materials has become critical to enhancing tissue regeneration, optimizing osseointegration, and improving long-term survival rates for patients with complex clinical needs.

By bridging the gap between bench-side material innovation and clinical application, this Special Issue aims to consolidate high-quality original research and reviews that address the challenges of tissue repair, structural stability, and biological integration in modern dentistry.

Topics of Interest

  • Next-generation scaffolds
  • Bioactive interfaces
  • Advanced membranes
  • Bone graft substitutes
  • Smart drug-delivery systems
  • Nanomaterials in peri-implantitis
  • Clinical performance evaluation
  • Tissue engineering approaches
